COVID - 19

For the safety of our guests and team, and instruction from the government, we have temporarily closed the Day Spa, effective immediately...  The accommodation is still open - with very limited numbers and following the social distancing rules.

Kim is working on some amazing packages that will be luxurious and exclusive for very limited number of guests that follow the guidelines and protocols.  The tailor-made packages will include in-house dining (breakfast / dinner / picnic lunch), use of the private pool, your own sitting room / dining room for each suite (complete with your own fireplace), activities, drinks (yes, alcoholic), goody bags etc ....  Watch this space!

Also, we wanted to let you know about the extra, precautionary actions we’re taking at Blair Athol Boutique Hotel & Day Spa to look after you, your loved ones, and our own team during the Covid‑19 (‘Coronavirus’) period.

Your well-being is our number one priority at Blair Athol! So, to help keep Blair Athol a happy and healthy place for everyone, we are taking a range of extra, precautionary steps to help protect you when you visit us.

These extra, precautionary measures include:

• We are undertaking an even more rigorous and regular cleaning and sanitising ritual in the house, multiple times a day, including cleaning and sanitising all common contact surfaces.
• When weather permits, we are keeping our external doors open to allow for additional ventilation.
• There are no more handshakes with guests for now 🙁 But, we have found some other fun ways to greet you and say goodbye! 🙂
• We’ve posted signs on the entrances telling guests not to enter if they are, or have recently been, unwell or traveled from overseas recently.
• There are no cancellation fees. We would still be grateful for as much notice as possible. Gift Vouchers will still be valid.  Please call Kim to re-book.

Your understanding and co-operation are required to help us all get through this time. For the comfort, health and safety of your fellow guests, and the Blair Athol team, we would be so grateful if you could ensure you comply with the following.

As a precaution, please be considerate and do not visit Blair Athol if you are experiencing, or are still recovering from, any of the following symptoms:

Fever or recent history of fever      A cold        A cough        A sore throat        Flu like symptoms         Shortness of breath         Respiratory illnesses

We will of course be happy to have you come back and see us as soon as you are fully recovered! 🙂

By working together to support each other, we'll all get through this.

The team at Blair Athol and your fellow Blair Athol guests thank you for your co-operation and understanding 🙂

Thank you

Relax in our new purpose-built Day Spa (when we re-open) - inspired by the Roman baths of history with columns, atrium windows, cascading waterfall and views from the terrace over Inverell and districts.  The mineral-rich pool and spa are indoors and warm.  The infra-red sauna is there for you to relax in with a magazine or drink.  Book a massage with one of the remedial massage therapists to take away the stresses of the outside world.

The Town of Inverell

The Town of Inverell is one of substance and style - this pretty, plentiful spot on the Macintyre River was first settled in the mid 1800's by Scottish immigrants.  It's a bustling regional centre drawing thousands of visitors each year for its diversity of natural, historical and cultural attractions.  With an elevation of 590m, Inverell has a fantastic climate - warmer than some higher New England settlements.  Just ask the Host for information about local gem fossicking, wineries, olive plantations or fishing and boating on the Copeton Dam.  Inverell is also known for its excellent shopping facilities from large chain stores to boutique shops.

The Driveway

As you turn into Blair Athol Estate, the beautiful bunya tree- lined avenue leads the guest to the circular driveway surrounding the elegant fountain.   The manicured greenery that lines the entrance to Blair Athol gives the visitor a sense of faraway times and twinkling garden parties under the setting sun.

Our Horses

We have beautiful 'Paint' horses on the property - Jessie the Stallion, Lucky the Mare, and their offspring Rocky, Lucy & Juke.

Unfortunately, due to insurance requests, we ask that our guests don't have contact with them.....  sorry......
